Who Is God?

It is important to understand “Who I am” in Christ, and we also need to understand who God is. The following are statements I often say to God during my praise time. There are many more names, titles and descriptions of God in the Bible you can research.

Father God, I praise You for who You are:

• You are the Alpha and Omega (the beginning and the end) – Revelation 1:8

• You are Almighty God. - Genesis 17:1, Psalm 147:4,

• At the same time, You are my “Abba” Father. – Romans 8:15, Galatians 4:6

• You are the Creator of Heaven and Earth – Genesis 1:1, Genesis 44:19 – NIV

• You are the Creator of the Universe. – Genesis 1:16, Psalm 8:3, Psalm 147:4

• You are my Comforter – 2 Corinthians 1:3

• You are the Father of compassion – 2 Corinthians 1:3 – NIV

• You are my Everlasting Father – Isaiah 9:6, Isaiah 49:28

• You are the Giver of Grace – Ephesians 2:8-9

• You are the Healer of my heart - Psalm 147:1-3

• You are the Healer of my body – Psalm 103:3, Psalm 30:2

• You are God Most High – Genesis 1:18-20

• You are Great and Powerful – Jeremiah 32:18

• You are Holy – Leviticus 11:44

• You are alive! – Jeremiah 10:10
