Prayer for Families
Dear Heavenly Father,
Your Word says desire that all everyone would come to know you as Savior and Lord, and that includes my loved ones. (2 Peter 3:9) I ask you to tear down the veils and false argument the enemy has created to separate my family from You. (2 Corinthians 4:3-4)
I ask for a giant move of Your Holy Spirit throughout my family from the first to the last person, working under, around and on top of us from the youngest to the oldest. I pray for the outcome of salvations, renewed commitment of believers, divine acts of guidance and protection, peace, joy, relief and hope for the future will be some of the results. (Matthew 6:33-34) When salvations occur, I ask that You would pour out Your Holy Spirit in such a way that believers grow quickly and firmly in their faith. May we fall in love with Jesus completely. (Matthew 22:37)
May our hearts be tender toward correction. Hebrews 12:3-8 . May we all be empowered to obey You in all areas of our lives. (James 4:7-10) Cause us to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness all the days of our lives. (Matthew 6:33-34) Deliver us from evil. (Matthew 6:13) Do not let Your enemy pluck the good seed sown in your soil. Rather, protect those with newfound faith as a mother protects her young. I believe You desire that ALL YOUR SEED BEAR FRUIT. So, Lord of Heavens I ask that YOU, in all Your power and might, go forth in this present age, plowing even the stones to receive Your Word. I believe You desire that EVERY seed sown by Your servants will take root, flourish, and grow roots deeper than the deepest crevice on earth to bring glory to Your kingdom. (Matthew 13:19-23)
May we hunger and thirst for the Word of God; to read it, memorize it, discuss it, think about it, learn how to apply it to our lives, and stand on its principles in prayer. (Hebrews 4:12, Matthew 4:4, Psalms 119:10-12, Ephesians 6:16)
Empower us to accept Your forgiveness and let go of baggage from the past quickly. (Psalms 103: 11-14)
May our lives produce fruit quickly. (John 15:)
Deliver us from bondages that will slow us down. (Isaiah 58:6)
Deliver us from any attack of Your enemy we are not yet prepared mentally, spiritually, physically or emotionally to handle. (Keep a shield of divine protection over us at all times. You took back the keys to Your Kingdom at the Cross, and I believe You desire that we be protected from wanton attacks from Your enemy unless it brings greater glory to Your kingdom. So, I pray You will protect us as You did Job (Job 1:10 Psalms 5:11-12, Psalms 32: 6-7).
Empower us to rise on wings like eagles. (Isaiah 40:28- 41)
Cause our roots to grow deep that we might become as mighty oaks that can withstand any storm. (Jeremiah 17:7-8.)
Make us sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. (1 Thessalonians 5:19 – 21 Give us a spirit of discernment and all other spiritual gifts we need as we need them. (1 Corinthians 12:7-11). May we be transformed by the renewing of our minds that we may discern Your perfect will for our lives. Romans 12:1-2.
May we fall out of love with the things of this world and not be conformed any longer. (Matthew 12:21-22)
May our faith become stronger than bronze and not bend under the cares of the world. (Ephesians 6:13-14, Psalms 18:33-35)
May we develop a deep and intimate prayer relationship with You. May we cry out to You in the mornings, in the evenings and even in the night. May the incense of prayer be lifted up to You without ceasing. (Psalm 119:146-148, 1 Thessalonians 5:16-18)
Bless all my family with a spirit of expectancy as we await Your coming or our home going. May we long for You and Your eternal kingdom. (Revelation 20:20-21)
I ask all of this, believing in the power of Your Word through the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
