I Want to Be Saved!
Do you know where you would spend eternity if you died in the next ten minutes?
My life was changed the day I realized that God was real and He loved me! If you realize that God is real and that He loves you, why not turn to Him now? Talk to Him in your own words, or follow this simple prayer:
Heavenly Father,
I believe Your Word which says that all have sinned and fall short of Your glory. Your Word also says that even though I have earned death, you gave your only Son, Jesus Christ, as a payment for my sins and that if I accept Jesus as my Savior, You will forgive me and promise me eternal life in Heaven with You.
I believe You love me. I believe, Jesus Christ paid the price for all my sins when He died on the cross. Today, I receive Your forgiveness through Jesus Christ, and I commit my life to you. Jesus, please reside in my heart, mind and soul and guide me all the days of my life.
I thank you, God, that I am now one of your children. I ask you to lead me by your Holy Spirit. Stir a hunger in my mind to read Your Word and gain understanding of my new relationship with you. Direct me to the church fellowship where I can best grow in faith and knowledge. Thank you for loving me and for adopting me into Your eternal family. Amen.
I encourage you to read and think upon the following scripture which this prayer is based upon:
Romans 3:23 For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.
Romans 6:23 For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
John 3:16 For God so loved the world that he gave His only begotten son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.
2 Corinthians 5:21: For He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him.
John 1:12 But as many as received Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name.
Titus 3:5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us through the washing and regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit.
