Prayer Asking for Healing

Lord,

I cry out to You, today, believing You hear me and that You are answering even as I pray (Psalm 27:7). Thank You for the assurance that Your thoughts toward me are of good and not evil. Thank You for the confidence You desire to give me a future with hope (Jeremiah 29:11).

Empower me to acknowledge You in all my ways and depend on You and not my own knowledge. I trust You to direct my path even in difficult times. (Proverbs 3:5-6) Thank You that I can trust that all things work together to bring good to me – even the hard things.(Romans 8:28)

I humble myself before You and turn away from every sin of my past and my present. (1 John: 1:19, Psalm 32:5, Proverbs 23:13, 2 Chronicles 7:14) As Your child, I believe You desire me to walk free from every curse and affliction (Exodus 20:5) and I humbly ask now that You break every chain that keeps me from full fellowship with You. (Isaiah 58:6) Thank You for driving away all fear and giving me courage (1 John 4:18). I know You go with me and will not leave me or forsake me. (Deuteronomy 31:6)

Thank You for the promise that even if mountains in my life tremble and fall, Your peace will never be removed. Increase my faith to hold on to this truth now. (Isaiah 54:10)

I believe all healing comes from You. (Psalm 107:20, Exodus 23:25, Deuteronomy 7:15, 32:39) You can use the tools of medicine, surgeries, and medical professionals in combination with Your Holy Spirit or by the power of Your Holy Spirit alone (Acts 3:1-10, Matthew 8:1-3, Mark 5:21-43, Acts 28:8) I don’t profess to understand all the ways You work, but I believe Your Word and its truth.

Lord, I know that at some point, the fastest way to total health will be through my death. (Psalm 89:48, Hebrews 9:27) I rejoice at the thought of being with You eternally, but until that day, I believe You desire my physical health in this body (3 John 1:2), so today I come before You in Your Word. Lord, let Your Holy Spirit do its healing work in my mind, body and spirit to bring glory to Your Kingdom.

Lord, send Your Word to heal me and deliver me from destruction (Psalm 107:20). Draw me close through Your Word which gives life and health to my body (Proverbs 4:20-22).

It is You who makes me alive. You allowed me to be wounded, but You are also my healer. No one (and nothing) can take me from Your hand. (Deuteronomy 32:39)

Lord, You spared and extended Hezekiah’s life when he sought You. I seek You now for the same purpose. Deliver me, Lord, so I might fulfill Your plans for my life. (2 Kings 20:5, Isaiah 38, Isaiah 40:29)

Have mercy on me Lord, for I am weak. Heal my body. (Psalm 6:2)

Lord, I humbly ask You to deliver me from my current afflictions. (Psalm 34:19)

Lord, I ask You to strengthen and sustain me in this time of sickness. (Psalm 41:3)

I will praise You, Lord, and I will never forget all the benefits of being Your child. You have forgiven me, and I trust You for healing. (Psalm 103:2-3)

I feel broken because of this illness, but I trust You to heal my brokenness and bind up my wounds. (Psalm 147:3)

Empower me to turn away from all evil and my own wisdom and receive health to my body.

Engrain Your Word in my heart for it brings healing to my body and spirit. (Proverbs 4:20-22)

Father, Jesus healed great multitudes while on earth (Matthew 4:23 Matthew 8:16, Matthew 9:35, Mark 5:25-32, Mark 5:35-42, Luke 6:19,

Luke 9:11, Luke 13:11-13). I believe You did not cut off that healing work when Christ ascended into heaven. You continue healing people through the name of Jesus and the power You extend to us through His name. (Acts 3:6, Acts 3:16, Acts 5:16, Romans 8:11. Jesus said that because of the Holy Spirit, those who believe through Jesus’ name will do even greater things. (John 14:12) I believe, Father, and I ask You to do a great thing in my body for the glory of Your kingdom.

Father, I am calling out to You today because Your Word instructs me to be anxious for nothing and make my requests known to You. (Philippians 4:6-7).

Empower me to use every available avenue for healing according to Your Word, Lord. (James 5:14-16).

I believe You desire my physical body to prosper and enjoy health just as my soul prospers. May it be, Lord. (3 John 1:2)

Keep me close to You on this journey to health, Father. Let Your Word dwell in me richly and accomplish it’s healing work. (Isaiah 55:10-11).

I ask humbly, but believe boldly in the name of Jesus, Amen.
