Pray God’s Word – Day 20

Adoration: Father, I praise Your Holy Name.

Psalms 145:1-6 (NIV)

I will exalt you, my God the King;
I will praise your name for ever and ever.
2 Every day I will praise you
and extol your name for ever and ever.

3 Great is the Lord and most worthy of praise;
his greatness no one can fathom.
4 One generation commends your works to another;
they tell of your mighty acts.
5 They speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty—
and I will meditate on your wonderful works.
6 They tell of the power of your awesome works—
and I will proclaim your great deeds.

Pause here and add your personal words of adoration for God.

Confession: Father, I freely confess my sins and ask for cleansing.

Luke 11:3-4

Give us day by day our daily bread.
4 And forgive us our sins,
For we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us.
And do not lead us into temptation,
But deliver us from the evil one.”

Matthew 9:12-13

12 When Jesus heard that, He said to them, “Those who are well have no need of a physician, but those who are sick.13 But go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy and not sacrifice.’ For I did not come to call the righteous, but sinners, to repentance.”

Pause here and ask the Holy Spirit to bring to your mind any sin you need to confess. Receive his forgiveness through the blood of Jesus Christ.

Thanksgiving: I thank You, Father, for your goodness to me.

1 Corinthians 15:56

56 The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

Pause here and thank God for recent blessings, answers to prayer, etc….

Supplication: Father, I come humbly before You and ask that you deliver me from evil today and always. In obedience to Your command, I bring these needs before Your throne. Grant these according to Your will.

Luke 18:1-8

Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart, 2 saying: “There was in a certain city a judge who did not fear God nor regard man.3 Now there was a widow in that city; and she came to him, saying, ‘Get justice for me from my adversary.’ 4 And he would not for a while; but afterward he said within himself, ‘Though I do not fear God nor regard man, 5 yet because this widow troubles me I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me.’”

6 Then the Lord said, “Hear what the unjust judge said. 7 And shall God not avenge His own elect who cry out day and night to Him, though He bears long with them? 8 I tell you that He will avenge them speedily…

Pause here and bring your needs to the Lord. Ask the Holy Spirit to bring to your mind the needs of others that He would have you pray for today.
