Pray God’s Word – Day 19
Adoration: Father, I praise Your Holy Name.
Psalms 29:2-4
Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name;
worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness.
3 The voice of the Lord is over the waters;
the God of glory thunders,
the Lord thunders over the mighty waters.
4 The voice of the Lord is powerful;
the voice of the Lord is majestic.
Pause here and add your personal words of adoration for God.
Confession: Father, I freely confess my sins and ask for cleansing.
1 Peter 1:13-16 (NIV)
13 Therefore, with minds that are alert and fully sober, set your hope on the grace to be brought to you when Jesus Christ is revealed at his coming. 14 As obedient children, do not conform to the evil desires you had when you lived in ignorance. 15 But just as he who called you is holy, so be holy in all you do; 16 for it is written: “Be holy, because I am holy.”
Pause here and ask the Holy Spirit to bring to your mind any sin you need to confess. Receive his forgiveness through the blood of Jesus Christ.
Thanksgiving: I thank You, Father, for your goodness to me.
1 Corinthians 15:56
56 The sting of death is sin, and the strength of sin is the law. 57 But thanks be to God, who gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.
Pause here and thank God for recent blessings, answers to prayer, etc….
Supplication: Father, I come humbly before You and ask that you deliver me from evil today and always. In obedience to Your command, I bring these needs before Your throne. Grant these according to Your will.
Matthew 6:26-34
26 Look at the birds of the air, for they neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? 27 Which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature?
28 “So why do you worry about clothing? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow: they neither toil nor spin; 29 and yet I say to you that even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. 30 Now if God so clothes the grass of the field, which today is, and tomorrow is thrown into the oven, will He not much more clothe you, O you of little faith?
31 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ 32 For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. 33 But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you. 34 Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.
Pause here and bring your needs to the Lord. Ask the Holy Spirit to bring to your mind the needs of others that He would have you pray for today.
